Lagg Bookstore

Short for “Like a Good Girl”, and described in the published review as Utah’s first romance-only bookstore. Occupies a converted bungalow on Lehi’s historic Main Street: tangerine walls, pink script lettering, and an art wall made from fanned-open paperback pages laced with satin ribbon. Stocks clothing, jewellery and novelty items alongside the books, and describes itself in the shop with the mottos “This is feminine joy” and “My joy matters”. Queer-friendly, with a grass area at the back used for gatherings and visiting authors.

Inside the bookshop

A burnt-orange bouclé sofa in a sunny window bay of an old house, heaped with pink and cream cushions and a floral throw. Painted flowers cover the sash windows, snake plants stand on the floor at either side, and a dressmaker's mannequin wears a plum lace slip dress beside a black side table.
Somewhere to sit
A whole wall built from open paperbacks fixed page-out in overlapping rows, threaded with trailing pink and orange ribbons, with cut-out lettering across the middle reading read like a good girl. A grid of hundreds of instant photographs of customers covers the wall to the right.
